The Bendigo Pickleball Club (BPC) is pleased and excited to announce the staging of the very first regional pickleball tournament in Central Victoria.

To be known as the 'Bendigo Gold Classic', this 3-day tournament will be held on 19th to 21st of September, showcasing the very best pickleball talent on offer across the nation.

The tournament will be played at Bendigo's premier sporting and entertainment venue, Red Energy Arena, with 20 indoor courts to be made available across the 3 day event.

Events during the Gold Classic will include: Gender Doubles (Saturday 19th), Mixed Doubles (Sunday 20th), Singles and Skinny Singles (Monday 21st) across the 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ age groups and amongst the usual DUPR rating brackets (<2.99 up to 4.0).

The event will be conducted by well known and respected Tournament DIrector, Ms Amanda Moo and has been sanctioned as a Tier 2 tournament by Pickleball Australia.

Club President Mr Paul Henshall was delighted in sharing the news to the greater pickleball community.

"On behalf of the BPC I am delighted to announce that Bendigo has joined the national stage by hosting it's inaugural Pickleball tournament in September. This tournament to be played on Saturday 19th through to Monday 21st September is the culmination of many months of forward planning and hard work by the committee of the BPC.
I am delighted to welcome approximately 400 players to our wonderful city, which I have no doubt that both the city and the event will leave players with such an impression that they will want to return in future years ahead."
